What does a podcast taste like? Part 2: Review: Hope's Cake
As the creator of a Youtube cooking channel and a lover of podcasts, this episode was just right for me (and for Frances).
A family in New York loved a cake, the bakery that made it stopped making it, and then they worked on re-creating it. The recipe for the recreation is here and a video of the person making it is here.
Frances and I made it as a layer cake. I thought it was incredible. Fran said she would have preferred the version without frosting and just something added on top like the video.

List of items restaurants have stopped making that made me sad:
- Stuffed Chicken Tortillas from Cheesecake Factory
- Mooshoo Calzone from CPK
- Kung Pao Spaghetti from CPK
- Garlic noodles from PF Changs. They actually would always make these for you even though they weren't on the menu. And they recently added them back to the menu.
