SpaceX Launch Viewing Pre-Dawn

Previous posts about evening launches here and here. On Friday January 24 2025 SpaceX had a launch from Vandenberg at 6:07am. Sunrise that day was 6:51am. So the launch was 44 minutes before sunrise. I suspected that the jellyfish effect would be similar to the moments after sunset.

Previous post here. We watched the launch on March 18, 2024 from Salt Creek Beach. There was a rainstorm about 90 minutes before but everything cleared up nicely and there was a great sunset. The launch time was 7:28pm. 27 minutes after sunset. We could see the 1st stage

Observing Space X Launches After Sunset from Southern California

When Space X launches their Falcon rockets from Vandenberg in the evening it is easy to watch the launch from south Orange County. If you look toward the west about 2 minutes after the launch time you can see the rocket heading up. Then I believe the 1st stage stops
