Review of Autio

The Autio app plays short audio clips or tours as you drive around. This should be something that I love. Audio guides plus podcasts on your phone in the car.

So far I have listened to many of the audios driving from Orange County through Utah and Idaho to Montana. I have also listened to quite a few of the audios for Orange Country.

Unfortunately the audios just aren't that good. They sound more like someone reading a Wikipedia article or corporate marketing material than telling an interesting story on a podcast. I bought a full year subscription so I'll keep listening to them occasionally but unless they figure out a way to make better audios I would never renew.
