Review: Mr. Pibb Thrillin' Vanilla

At Santa Barbara High School in 1990 we were allowed to walk off campus during lunch. I'm not sure if that is still allowed. But we would go to Sam's To Go on Milpas. It was there that I had my first taste of "Mr. Pibb." I thought it was similar to Dr. Pepper and I believe that was its intent. The Coca-cola website says it is not exactly a cherry soda but it has a "spicy-cherry" taste.

Now in the summer of 2026 I saw a can of Mr. Pibb vanilla with the rhyming name "Mr. Pibb Thrillin' Vanilla. It is decent but not terrific. Now when I want a real cherry soda I go for North Carolina's Cheerwine.
